Rating for the Coal Fired pizza only.
I was anxious about trying this place for years. They cook so many styles of pizza that I was worried that the quality would drop for the novelty. This can’t be farther from the truth. The myriad of styles is not novelty, but a love letter to pizza. As their box says “Respect the Craft”, which they do tenfold. Their Neapolitan pizza was executed to perfection. The slice shop next door nailed a quintessential New York slice. And while the coal fired lacked the crisp that I am accustomed to, the flavor was there.
A must visit restaurant if you appreciate pizza and “respect the craft” as they do at Tony’s.
