Pizza Review
Around since 2005, Torino Pizza took over the joint formerly known as Cafe Patanaro, just down the road from their original location. This is an extremely solid football pizza, thick with a fairly firm undercarriage and virtually no flop. The dough is quite tasty with a sort of fried zeppole texture and decent amount of crisp, kept dry by a little excess flour, particularly dusting the thick and crunchy crust. The sauce is sweet & hearty, full bodied with plenty of volume along with a wonderful array of flavor and spice. The creamy Grande mozzarella compliments the sauce nicely with a melty, oozy flow and signature top notch flavor. While I wouldn’t say this pie is dazzling, it’s super satisfying…quintessential Friday night football pizza you can set your watch to without hesitation. Fantastic flavor from the sauce, cheese & dough work in unison to combine with a terrific texture that makes this a quality neighborhood pie.
