drunk pie, grease. Not the best but it satisfies for now

Doughy, mushy, cold…the fact that this is their “best slice” and Pres gave their plain a 7.4 which is .3 less than Nonnas on SI is appalling.

I’m quite surprised… I came in thinking that the esteemed sicilian with the sauce would kick the regular cheese to the curb. I was mistaken, I actually enjoyed the regular more - very crispy, nice taste, good thickness. The sicilian was a 7.5, solid square slice but could use a little more flavor.

A soupy plain slice on the top, but good flavor in the cheese and sauce. Solid undercarriage. If you come here, you want to try their Sicilian with extra sauce on top.

Yeah, I got the sauce on top like a fucking local. The square is a great bite, enough chew to the crust and a crispy bottom. Should have ordered 2. I told ‘em Portnoy sent me and they appreciated the budiness.

Is it the best Sicilian of all time? It might be. Get extra gravy on top

This is a tale of 2 pizzas. Starting with the traditional pie, pictured on top: extremely basic, no flash, no pizzazz, shockingly generic. I’m not a fan of the dough texture; it’s stiff & flakey, lacking in flavor. While it’s firm & crunchy, it’s more stale than crispy, not too appetizing. The sauce is also surprisingly standard, not very distinct, doesn’t pack much of a punch. The cheese is below average, on par with Pizza Hut & Domino’s. Overall, not terrible, but not worth trying; a completely ordinary 6.7 score. Now to the signature Sicilian pizza pictured on the bottom. MEGA doughy, super soft, fabulously fresh & fluffy, while maintaining a decent crisp around the edges and underneath. Perfectly melted mozzarella is blanketed on top, suffocating the dough, very similar to cheesy bread, with not much sauce beneath. For whatever reason, they like to add the sauce on top as an “extra,” only if you ask for it. This sauce is similar to a light Sunday gravy that you would put on pasta or meatballs, not very hearty, kind of left me flat. Overall, this style is pretty good, yet unspectacular and strangely light & heavy at the same time, a decent 6.9 rating. Certainly worth a try but don’t go too far out of your way. Both styles combined average out to a rather disappointing 6.8 score.

Ok, I had a regular slice before, which had an interesting oregano taste. It was good, just interesting. This time the sicilian, which I dont do, but it was good for other reasons. It was a tomato pie (philly shot out!) Which they put fresh on the slice, then baked it. Good move!
