Pizza Review
Ok Frankie we are at Trecce (pizza review time May 1st 7:30pm)... they are Located on Danforth ave in Toronto and they are known as a purveyor of fine Italian dining from the esteemed Chefs, Carmelo & Nina - operating since October 2017 and serving both quality and homemade dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food. Trecce’s interior, designed by the award-winning Jump Design and Branding, reflects the hip sensibilities of the surrounding area while watching a pizza being made in a wood burning pizza oven. The restaurant offers the choice to observe passers-by or watch the art of cooking as it occurs in the open-kitchen dining room... word to the wise though — order at let an hour in advance because it’s a busy joint ... and while we were waiting for our pie we could tell how busy it was ... we are looking forward to this ... we ordered the Classic Margherita with fior di latte, San Marzano sauce, fresh basil, extra virgin olive oil.... one bite everyone knows the rules ... Sauce was fresh and undercarriage had serious char , proper dough bubbles ... is what el’presidente would call a fancy pizza and unlike most fancy pizzas has zero flop ... it’s the crispiest pizza we’ve reviewed to date ( some would call it bland Frankie - We wouldn’t - some would - We wouldn’t)... we try all the best independent places and we score them honest and fair we never let them know ... it’s the same pie you’re getting —-> we score them 1 to 10 / one bite / everyone knows the rules / bite it / score it -> 1 thru 10 -> it’s better than good fellas but not better than Libretto and in a world where a fancy pizza usually doesn’t get above a 6.9 this pizza is a 7.2~> (professional score) Trecce Pizza ! Very good pizza! Very busy joint ! Not a quick place ... but worth the wait when you have the time - excellent pie , decent price - we ate the whole thing - we will be back 7.2 that’s a review!
