Great pie!

Rookie score but best pizza in San Diego if you love coal fired / NY style. Burrata pizza

Tribute pizza is a neat concept that aims to mimic other amazing pizza places across the country as a tribute to them. In concept with such a wide array of different options, it would be difficult to accurately recreate it on a consistent basis. However, Tribute Pizza I feel comes pretty close to doing this. I got the pepperoni pizza and the burrata pizza with added pepperoni. The burrata pizza is the one pictured above. Both were amazing. The sauce, cheese, crust were all so good. I would 10/10 recommend to someone if they were in San Diego to try it. It is pricey but it’s worth the price. The ranch is also homemade and so so good.

Snuck in a review since they’re only open for four hours a day, and I’m so glad I did. There was something about this pizza that just tasted very good to me. I think it was because it a perfect amount of sauce on this pie. The sauce by itself was not my favorite by any means. It tasted like a spaghetti sauce made with a lot of bell peppers. It didn’t taste bad, but it threw me off having that flavor you’re not used to seeing in a pizza sauce. Even though it was not my favorite, when combined with the cheese it really tasted delicious. The crust was light and wood fired. There were a few good charred spots which added some nice flare. I am two for two trying pizza places here in San Diego.

The pizza was good the hot honey was the sell, but if you don’t like pineapple on pizza you probably won’t be a big fan of the honey.

Overall good pizza, I really like the ball jiggly of cheese. High quality ingredients no doubt about that. Nothing really special and would not wait the 1.5 hours that it took to get the pizza again.

One of my fav pizza places, got a white pie and it did not disappoint! Also a big fan of their charcuterie boards!

Great pizza with excellent toppings. Their crust is soft with sesame seeds. I recommend the Brooklyn’s best and to add pepperonis. Their focaccia was a highlight too.
