Soooo this spot is a local staple. Been around since the ‘80’s I believe(?). Very good slice of pizza. Generally all of their pizzas (with the exception of small) are tavern cut. I requested to have this pie cut. Did ground sausage and roast beef which just works for me. Typically I’ll add onion and green pepper but I tried to keep it simple.
Overall very minimal grease towards the center. There was some but not too much. Sauce is pretty standard but is made in-house and has good flavor. Cheese on the pizza always taste fresh and melts well. Crust has a softness to it but crispy around the edges and underneath.
I used to hold this pizza in higher regard but as of late I feel like 7.3 is a fair score. Not to any fault of theirs, just think I may have been holding it higher than I should have. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good slice of pizza, I come here often. Just think I’ve had some pretty damn good ones in Chicago that I’ll have to revisit and post on here.
