Umberto's Restaurant & Pizza

Very solid grandma pies (what this place is known for and what is pictured). Good crunch, pillowy dough, fresh sauce and cheese. Everything is on point, but there’s just something that doesn’t get it in the 8’s or 9’s for me. Will have to try it again, but it’s definitely worth multiple visits. OG location in New Hyde Park, NY..I believe.

Great pie. Grandma pie is my favorite. Fresh basil plant available. Lots of Parmesan grated cheese also available. Service is fantastic. Jeff , the bartender , is the best. Full service restaurant. Fun place.

Barely edible! Slimy and disgusting! This is not NY Pizza not even close

Decent flavors not that greasy with very good dough/crust.

Nice pie cheese was very good and done just the way I like it. A little flop upon inspection but quickly came to attention with my fold. It could of had a little more crisp and snap but was acceptable. The only downfall is they need to work on the sauce it’s kind of bland. I’m going back there again to try their famous Grandma pizza I hope the sauce is a little more flavorful when I go back .

The mama was pretty good. Nice tang on the sauce.

Really good pie.. constructed real well... sauce 8.9, cheese 7.9, crust 8.2 and construction get an 8.7 for a combined score of an 8.4.. probably one of the best slices for me he in south Florida.. especially under my new scoring method compared to some of my earlier rookie post.. solid 8.4.. Solid pizza!!

Not only just good for Florida, pretty damn good pizza all around. No flop when fresh, nice stringy cheese, and good amount of basil to not overwhelm the flavor. The grandma is the slice to get. My go to spot when I need some pizza

Crispy crust, perfect amount of basil. Filling but not too heavy.

Went with “Grandma’s Pizza”and everything is so fresh! Flavor is great. Crunchy, but not overly crunchy crust.
