Pizza Review
Uncle Pete’s May be like 12 feet wide and have just enough room to pass ADA requirements. They have odd hours and can only pay by cash and check. This is a recipe for a good pizza. It’s been a while since I’ve had this type of pizza, which I call a blue collar working man pizza. The regular crust is their thin tavern crust. But it is heavy. The toppings are loaded, and there is quite a bit of sauce. Sausage shines with a traditional flavor and moist throughout. The sauce is sweet and unique. It won’t be for everyone, but I think it’s different enough to be their own. Outer crust is crunchy and flaky, then gets less firm toward the middle of the dough. It’s different, it’s filling, and a good value for how much volume of food you are getting. Tip: try to be patient with the communication on the phone and talk clearly of what you want.
