Union Loafers Café and Bread Bakery

I expected one of the best in the city, but was not ready for this. This pie was incredible on all levels. The cheese was salty; the sauce was tangy, and the bread was chewy with such depth of flavor. I can’t believe that this place isn’t popular on a national level. So impressed and envious that St. Louis has this hidden gem.

Super flavorful dough, and an overall excellent pizza. The cheese pie was solid, but I’d score the mushroom pie slightly higher.

This would be a high 8 or low 9 if this store was purely a pizza shop and served full sized pizzas. They did in the past but now only sell small pizzas that are inconsistent in size. Hours and ordering is lame, only accepts online orders for pick up with a $1 fee and they ask you pre-tip when you place your online order. But the pizza is amazing and I’d probably get a pie every week if they made 18 inch pies and even if they cost $24 after tax, this smaller 13 inch is $19 after fees and taxes.

House made dough, amazing bite from start to finish and a flavor of spice that can’t be matched by many.

From a New Haven apizza fan, Loafers is a gem to St. Louis. I’ve been hopping pizza shops all over the area for awhile, and I can say without a doubt this place ins numero uno. Keep up the passion for your craft guys! PS: The loaf of sourdough I brought home was great as well.

Large Cheese Pie - $14.99 Now that’s a great fucking pizza! Drove 5 hours from Cincinnati to watch my beloved Ny Mets get destroyed. BUT… we won the series and that’s 6 in a row! Lost my parley too! Fuck me…. Great taste! Crust is perfect. Best pizza I’ve had in a longtime. I’d love to come back and try some other spots. Well done St Louis… your baseball team may SUCK but your pizza is pretty dam good.

Really good pizza, with a tangy sauce, which is unusual for St. Louis. A little floppy, and the crust could be a little more flavorful, which would have brought my score higher.

Easily best pizza in St. Louis. The rating may be a little high if compared to NY pizzas but you have to consider the fact that it’s in the Midwest. Fantastic pie.

You’ll have to scrape your nuts off the floor after one bite of that crispy crust. Only thing keeping this from the low 9s is the sauce. Could have been a little more tangier

Possibly the Best pizza in St.Louis

Crust was one of the best I’ve ever tried, probably since they are a bakery :) ingredients were super fresh and pepperoni was perfectly crisp on the edges. This would be my first choice if/when returning to St. Louis

Good pie the flop in the middle kept it from being in the 8’s. Other than that great taste and crunchy crust
