The sauce, the cheese, the dough, all taste amazing, to the point where I have dreams about it. The best pizza I have had in the DMV by far.

Great pizza. Imported Italian plum sauce, not too cheesy. Crust is crisp. you could eat half this pizza in one sitting, pretty light.

This is not only the best pizza in thr DMV, it's the best pizza I've ever had. Crust is perfectly crunchy because they put cheese first then sauce. If you can't eat it right away, the pro move is to order it half baked and finish it off at home.

One of the best pizzas in the area. Awesome and legit Italian deli with a great staff. They even have traditional sfagliotella!

Great slice. Sauce is kind of sweet, which is a nice surprise. Only drawback is that the sauce on the top may lead to a stained t-shirt if you, like me, aren’t careful.

It's good but could use a bit more flavor. Sauce is fresh and tastes homemade but needs more tang.

Love the oregano, the lack of seating, the cheese on the bottom so there’s no grease, cracker crust that’s some how buttery. Worth the drive from NoVa.

Small shop located on a side street with limited parking in front. They put the sauce on top of the cheese which is interesting. No flop whatsoever. Almost a crackery crust which has a nice crunch to it. Nice tomato rich sauce which some good oregano additions as well. Fantastic cheese. Because the sauce is on top of the cheese there’s hardly any grease to speak of. Could be the best pizza in the DMV.

Recommended by former teammate NickySlices. I’ve been eating all over Bethesda since I was 5. Hidden away on a small side street in downtown Bethesda, this place has the best pizza you’ve probably not tasted in Bethesda. Also an Italian grocery, Vace serves pizza and subs as well. Sauce on top. To quote el prez, “tangy” sauce. Cheese is great, almost no grease and zero flop. Cheese is better than pepperoni IMO. According to el prez, anything above an 8 is worth driving for. 100% agree with NickySlices, this pizza is well worth a 20 minute drive to get.

Crispy crust but not my favorite regarding taste. Normally I’ll eat the crust when I like it. Lots of cheese, and I really liked it. The sauce is probably home made, mild and flavorful. Very good pie.

How have I missed this? Pizza was fantastic, even with the sauce on top! Crust had great texture and crisp. Sauce was tangy, had some herbs mixed in. Cheese was strong, a GREAT slice. This hidden gem is a definite visit if you’re looking for good pizza!

Never had a non-Chicago style pizza with the sauce on top but it was good! Dough was a little thick, but the flavors are fantastic.

Good pie for sure! Crust is very good, sauce on fresh mozz is different. Overall a very good pizza!
