Restaurants attached to inns/motels often get a bad rep, unfairly I might add; and this is no exception. One of the more underrated pizzas I’ve ever had in Stamford, hardly spoken about, yet a perfect balance of cheese, sauce and dough. This is the definition of pizza as far as looks and taste go, a true pizza’s pizza. The cheese is creamier than generic blends with a nice melty flowing ooze. The sauce is surprisingly hearty and tremendously flavorful with hints of garlic and spices providing terrific tang & zest. The dough has outstanding texture, solidly firm and deliciously tasty with a delightfully crispy crust to boot. This pie isn’t really special but it’s super reliable and satisfying. This would probably be a top 5 pizza in 40 of 50 states; but for the tri-state area it’s an above average, fantastic go-to pie if you’re local or happen to be in the area. A pleasant surprise to say the least.
