First thing that let me know this was going to be different was when the server brought us plates with knives and forks for our pizza. It’s a mess. The outer crust is very big and thick and crunchy while the rest is thin, floppy and wet. There is too much cheese and too much pepperoni. A lake of grease at the center of the pan and all over my plate.
But gosh oh dang, it was very good. It works. I probably would have liked a bit more sauce but maybe that would have thrown everything off, who knows? I have seen a few folks getting burnt pizzas from here so maybe it’s a bit inconsistent. We must have lucked out and got one cooked perfectly.
I will say this pizza probably is best eaten on location. I don’t know how well this would hold up on the way home. This place has quite a history and a story that I couldn’t possibly fit into this review but I recommend folks go read up on it. It’s something else.
