Vivaldi's Pizza

Vivaldis in Cranston. My second Rhode Island pie. 7.3 score as I rolled through the front door I asked for slices they said they don’t do them do turned away. As I turned away the guy at the counter who later introduced himself as the owner Jimmy convinced me to just get a small fresh cheese and enjoy it at a booth which I gladly accepted as I looked around at the pizzeria like environment I was on vacation what did I have to loose but not having slices ready to rip as I walk through the door effects your score immediately. As Jimmy cooked the pie we discussed his Turkish lineage and how he ended up in RI. He is good friends with champion pizza in nyc a very famous place with multiple locations. Jimmy was also a chef in Utah before moving to RI to raise a family. As for the pie cheese was ok but on the heavy side for me sauce was good better then ok crust cooked well but again due to lack of minerals in the local water was brittle and crackery which you guys just can’t help here. Jimmy was fantastic super nice he’s been slinging pies for 14 years here it’s worth it just to go and meet him. Pie is the best I’ve had here just not up to my New York par. Also when you cash out look to the left and you’ll see a signed picture from Christian mccaffreys wife thanking Jimmy for dealing with her brother on the regular. Pretty cool ms universe goes there. Good pizzeria atmosphere great owner go get a slice 🍕
