Pizza Review
Perfectly fine football pizza. This is where Planet Fitness (Peekskill) got it's pizza from for it's monthly pizza day, which stopped since the pandemic. I see people trashed this pizza here. But I decide to get a bunch (5 for $4.99) of end of the night slices from them on Too Good To Go—they were all good. I felt better than Stella's at the edge of Putnam Valley. Medium thin, medium brown bake, average aeration type crust deal. No flop. But it's a crust you won't bother eating once you get to the cornicione. Cheese-sauce ratio was fine. Obviously tilted toward the cheese. Whole milk low moisture mozzarella, sauce spread almost the full way up to the end crust, which is fairly minimal. Sauce is medium chunky not loose. Oregano spiked and fairly salted. Definitely savory rather than naturally sweet. I just find this pizza inoffensive. I've yet to try Nonna's Cortlandt/Put Valley. I've found them all to be different. But if I lived this side of Peekskill/Cortlandt, I'd go Amici's. But it's all preference. Yes, I always go for plains. But good pepperoni slice, sausage and peppers slice, and chicken Parm slice. I don't go for specialty stuff. This is all high 6-low 7s in my book.
