Westshore Pizza - Largo

A step above frozen pizza. Maybe the person who made it was having a bad day. Ingredients tasted very off for NY style pizza. Even objectively scoring to other Florida NY Pizza establishments. Was very let down. I’m from the north outside Philadelphia so I can really say I know northern pizza.

West Shore pizza has about 10 locations in the area. I reviewed their Belleair location a while back but this one has a slight edge. 1. They have NY baseball pictures on the walls, so it tells me that they are trying to keep the NY pizza theme going. 2. They pretty much have it down to a science, on how to make a good NY slice. People have suggested I come here to try their pizza for a long time. 3. Although they are not the very best in town, they are very good. The dough and sauce are very good and tasty. The cheese is excellent but not exactly the traditional NY style, with a slightly gooey/creamy texture .

Ordered mine, “well done” had a nice crisp and nice fold, not much flop except on the side with toppings. Good pizza is hard to find down here in FL but this isn’t bad and is pretty “NY/NJ Style” with a bit of a thicker dough

Super doughy and no crisp. Cheese was flat. Sauce was pretty decent but uneven. First few bites tasted like doughy cheese.

It’s a pizza chain but not as big as the other commercial places. Make some really good pizza especially if you’re looking for some football pizza. Good sauce and cheese. It is a lil greasy and has some flop, personally I wish it was a bit crispier. It’s a 7.2 and that’s a review

Not bad but not great. Maybe the score is a little low but not close to an 8.

Amazing slice. Best in the area i have found to date
