Pizza Review
I don’t go to Dallas very often but when I do, it’s not for very long. I figured it would be the perfect time to do another review so I looked up “best pizza in Dallas” and this spot came up. So to start off, the vibe of the restaurant wasn’t bad. Not very pizzeria like but they did have some Brooklyn brews on tap so that was cool. The guy Kevin at the bar was very nice as well. If he was a little less nice and more of an ass hole, then maybe it would’ve been more authentic. I give Kevin a score of 8.8 out of 10. So now with the pizza. The crust was okay. Maybe a little too much of it to be honest. The ratio of it at the end of the pie made me feel like I was eating a bread bowl at Panera. At first, it tasted to be the right consistency. As I continued, it started to taste more and more stale tasting. Very strange, it was as if I was on an episode of X Files or something. It did have residual flour on it which is always a plus for me. The slightly charred taste also added to it as well. The cheese to sauce ratio and this may be a first honestly, but it was actually too much sauce. Now granted, I do prefer more sauce than cheese than more cheese than sauce. But this was almost close to a traditional Margherita pizza in New York. No, I don’t mean just a regular cheese pie like everyone else makes a Margherita. I’m talking about that pie with the clumps of tomato sauce and fresh mozzarella. Margherita is actually my favorite type of pizza so maybe that’s why I prefer a little more sauce, but anyway this pizza had too much sauce to the standards of a regular cheese pie. For the sauce, it wasn’t really doing me much. It was alright but nothing really stood out to me about it. For the cheese, I could barely taste it. It was either too blended in with the crust or drenched in sauce. Can’t really review something I couldn’t taste. Wish it had more bold flavors. Maybe it’s because I burnt my tongue slightly eating this thing but hey, it is what is it. I’m eating Pizza here. So anyway, not a bad pie. I got the meatballs as an appetizer and they were okay. Kinda tasted a lil funny near the end but not funny in a laughing way but funny in a “hey my meatballs taste funny” way. I would maybe suggest another appetizer if you go here. But at the end of the day, I recommend stopping by and grabbing yourself a pint and a pie. Thanks for reading my review you loser. Get some better hobbies.
