Pizza Review
🏖BEST OF THE BEACH ALERT🏖 There are a shocking amount of haters throwing 5s at this joint, bringing down the overall score. Only a fake 9.9 is keeping the rating respectable. I’m here to cut through the b.s. and tell you this is outstanding beach pizza. The pie doesn’t look like anything special, but it’s really well constructed, terrifically tasty, and loaded with fabulous flavor. The dough has just enough crisp to give it some crunch, a nice mix of garlic and Jersey Shore flavor, a little doughy in spots but the texture is definitely crispier than average beach pizza. The undercarriage is firm, no sogginess or moisture thanks to some sea salt or pecorino underneath to keep the pie dry. The sauce and cheese are on-point as well, with a sensational sauce to cheese ratio. Despite harboring a fair amount of manageable grease, the cheese is a melty shredded mozzarella, better than generic, with a solid sharpness and flavor. The sauce shines, scrumptiously sweet, with crushed red tomatoes, lots of kick and flavor, a deliciously dazzling mixture that elevates this pie to another level. I could not be more pleasantly surprised by the quality of this pizza. If you’re in Atlantic City, it’s worth driving about 20 minutes further south for this pie. You won’t find anything even close in AC. All in all, this is some of the best pizza on the Jersey Shore and truly is a hidden gem worth the gamble.
