Zuppardi's Apizza

Classic spot; and yes, one of the best clam pies around. Order it with the fresh clams, if available.

Another New Haven legendary spot. This pizza had the most crisp I've ever had. Dough and cheese were top-notch. Where this pie fell short was the lack of sauce and the dried out crust. I am happy I was able to visit this legendary spot and recommend people to give it a shot. You might like it better than I did, but make sure you get a cannoli when you go.

Freshly shucked clam pizza, these guys make a great pizza!

Historic and delicious, but nowhere near the big 3/4 of New Haven. Crust could have been cooked a bit longer to have a little NHV char. Will be back again for sure.

Great Pizza! The crust is like crunchy thin artisan bread! Amazing! The sauce and cheese has a good tang! Great pizza!

this pizza was great! taste, crunch, flavor and experience all exceeded expectations. the half clam slices up there with the best of them and crispy and the pepp slices also with perfect cheese, pepp, sauce ratios.

Worth the ride from anywhere

This may be the best pizza I’ve ever had. New Yorker in New Haven to try the “best pizza in the U.S. The crust was the star of this show. It was just so perfect. Right in that in between point of crispy and doughy which is what good pizza should be. I had the 1/2 plain and 1/2 claim with mozzarella on the whole pie. I like Zuppardi’s approach. They don’t overdo it with the sauce and cheese. They take almost a minimalist approach to it. And on the clam side, the clams are freshly shucked so you taste that freshness in every bite. I’ve never seen lemon wedges served on the side of a pizza but when in Rome (or New Haven) do as the Romans do. Lemon juice topping it was. When I used to live in New Haven, I are Pepi’s and Sally’s and I must say that Zuppardi’s does hold its own if not surpass those legendary New Haven institutions. It’s the Big Leagues up here and Zuppardi’s hit a home run.

Very good a little floppy towards the middle of the pie but the sauce and the rest of the crust more than make up for it would definitely recommend

Zuppardi's Special sausage & mushroom

So Zuppardi’s is a few minutes away from Wooster but it deserves to be mentioned along with Pepe’s, Sally’s, Bar and Modern!! Incredible pie, I didn’t think I would have a better sausage slice then Modern but Zuppardi’s managed to deliver. Service was good, vibe of the restaurant was cool. Just another New Haven gem!! My favorite behind Sally’s my girlfriend felt it edged Sally’s out. Either way def try it. Great pizzeria with another cool story.

Very thin n crispy with a good crunch in every bite. Not much grease at all even with pepperoni on it. Good cheese n sauce but, couldn't had used alittle more sauce !!!

This is really excellent pizza (or apizza). The crust is about as close to perfect as I’ve had. Cheese was great. The weak link was the sauce. If the sauce were more flavorful, it would be somewhere in the 9’s. But, definitely worth a stop.

Has the lightest crisp to go with a great flavor. Has buttery taste behind the sauce and cheese.
