Zuppardi's Apizza

Amazing sausage pizza or shall I say, apizza. Man what’s not to like?! Top notch, crispy dough, amazing sauce and cheese. Taste to die for. Way up there in New Haven lore. Get it with sausage.

Not usually a crust guy…this pizza made me a crust guy. Crust so good I would’ve been fine with them ripping off the cheese and sauce and telling me only crust tonight, bud. Only gripe was lack of taste with the sauce. Other than that, another Connecticut banger. Pizza runs through the East Coast.

One of the heavyweights from Connecticut. 160 mile drive to give it a try and didn’t disappoint. The picture is of the house special. Also ordered the clam pie which was terrific & a first for me. Staff is very accommodating & service was extremely quick. No problem going back again.

Overall great pie, with the fantastic crunchy crust as the star of this pizza show. More prominent sauce would be a plus. PS. The (unscorable) sausage is also terrific!

This was the best tasting pizza I’ve ever had. The only reason it doesn’t get a perfect score is because it was extremely floppy in the middle - you couldn’t pick up the slice and had to fold it upward just to eat it. But the flavor from the garlic and fresh clams was OUTSTANDING. Well worth the $50 price tag. Sausage pie was excellent as well. Muzz was pretty standard go to Modern for that instead.

Zuppardi’s in West Haven — family-owned since 1934 — so fantastic, so good that I want to kill somebody. When another pizzeria owner is in the booth next to you on a Monday night, you know this place has earned respect. 🍕 Pickles’ Pizza Rating: 8.7/10; Morgs went 8.9.

Superb crisp for not being Coal Fire, was really good

It’s very decent Pizza all around, but I wouldn’t travel very very far to get it although it’s great Pizza

Good crust on Zuppardis but didn’t think flavor stood out too much from the sauce.

Just missed an 8. Our crust was not as charred as some other ones we saw. However the Pepperoni was an 8.2. more crispy and nice flavor

We made the trip from. Avon, CT and it was 100% worth it. We got the special which the sausage was amazing. We also got the Freshy fresh which 100% hit the spot. It was better than some one else's fresh tomato pie.

Crispy almost no flop

A little dry for my liking, great undercarriage and crust. Needs more sauce but solid cheese and crunch.

Buff chicken was also Great

Absolutely amazing. Motz is impeccable. Only problem is it’s a little floppy, but this is still amazing.
