I was going 7.9 but giving one extra point for having the guts to do only Detroit style in NYC and one extra point for the perfect vibe… old schools booths, red checkered table cloth, great bar with the game on, sick decor, great staff, Pizza Hut style cups… perfect spot to take the family but also your buds. Not the best in the world but such a nice change of pace from the usual slice. Great crispy char on the edges but light on the inside, nice cheese taste, herby sweet sauce just wish it was more evenly distributed, slightly too greasy but honestly hit on a winter rainy day. I’m not sure it would make the cut of places to take out of towners visiting but I’d definitely bring the fam again.

Focaccia Dough! Sweet; fluffy on the inside and crispy around the edges. Incredible ricotta and drizzled in honey. A great twist on Detroit pizza!

So good! I wish there was more sauce in each bite, but the bites that had it were incredible. Not too heavy, lovely crust, great amount of cheese.

Big fan of Detroit style, Ace’s did a good job. The slice is greasy so get some napkins ready. Pizza had good flavor with plenty of pepperoni’s, quality ingredients. The bar area had a cool vibe.

We got one hawaiian slice and one vodka meatball. They were both good. Laci said it was detroit style. Not sure how i feel about detroit style. cool atmosphere in there. hawaiian slice was very good. breadsticks were great also. heard there was an earthquake in new york today, everyone stay safe.

Best square slice I ever had, the sauce and dough had a garlic ting and the flavor was immaculate. Every single thing from there was good, the wings had a lemon ting even with no sauce, none of the food I had here was below an 8.5, this place is WAY better than emmy squared

Detriot style is fine. But not my favorite. Maybe I was overwhelmed with pizza, but the pepperoni slice they were serving was super strong. It was too much. Sauce was strongly spiced, sweet, and sharp tasting with grated cheese also. I could couldn't handle it as one of my last slices of the fest. To people who like this style more, I can easily see them giving it an 8 or 9 even. I think the crust hit the exact mark for Detroit style with the soft interior but exterior crunch. But I can't give it higher than this for a style I'm only okay on.

Best Detroit style I’ve had. Would’ve liked the sauce (which was very good) yo be more well distributed, but even the bites without it were like a solid cheesy bread

Cheers to a place you can show up to with great music, staff and atmosphere. Solid cocktails and a solid slice to look forward to when you’re lost in New York! Underrated and glowing because of it, check it out on a late night!

I gotta say I think this is the best Detroit pie I’ve had to date!!! The crust is caramelized all the way around, intense buttery cheesy flavor yet pillowy and fluffy, light light light like a pie like this should. The cheese has so much pull and flavor like a Chicago deep dish style, a compliment. The sauce ladled on top is a rich zesty thick blend topped with a bit of the hard stuff. Perfect combination of flavors inside an awesome atmosphere of a place. Must hit if you love this style!!!

Detroit style square pizza at its best! Very rarely do I stray from classic thin crust New York slices but this place is an awesome change of pace. A cool spot to begin with, the pizza lives up to the hype too. Great sauce, deliciously unique cheese and dough that’s fluffy AND crispy…it’s hip to be square! 🟥

You can’t eat it everyday, but this is a masterful pizza. The Detroit style is so superior to a typical grandma slice. Ace’s is airy, lodes with cheese that pulls apart like a Pizza Hut commercial. The sauce is fire. The “crust” is truly where it’s at though, I don’t really have a description for it other than it’s incredibly tasty and has such a great texture.
