Ala Roma Pizzeria & Pub

I’m a nostalgic person to a fault, I grew up in Fond du Lac and had Ala Roma on a regular basis. Came here for the first time in years today fully expecting to let that nostalgic feeling wash over me and give it an enthusiastic 9.5 or something equally silly. The first few bites - cheese, sausage, sauce, filled with joy as I beamed at my wife who was here with less hope in her heart. And then… the crust. It leaves something to be desired in a significant way, devoid of flavor, which was surprising and underwhelmed me. Good service, location, nothing else negative else to say. Still enjoyed being back and again those first few bites of each slice but the crust brought me back to reality.
