If someone asked you to define “pizza,” this is one of the pies you would show them. A straight fastball, right down the heart of the plate, nothing fancy, no gimmicks, just a solid pizza’s pizza. The cheese to sauce ratio is nearly perfect, both fairly generic tasting, but in a good way. The dough is on the thinnish side, but not too thin; however, it could use a little more crisping. The crust has the perfect amount of crisp, lots of crunch in every bite. A little oily, but very manageable. This is your prototypical, very reliable Friday night pie. Add a little more kick to the sauce, crisp up the dough a notch and you’re looking at a sure-fire 8.
