Pizza Review
The pizza in South Florida isn't great. However, Anthony's coal fire is pretty legit. Sauce is simple but I get the feeling it is made there with whole tomatoes and quality ingredients. I saw a nice sized chunk of tomato that you only get in homemade sauce. The sauce is not covered on the whole pie, but blotted in areas so it leaves you chasing more. It was different but good. Not sure if I prefer it spread evenly across the whole pie or if I like to fiend for tomatoes like a little crackhead. Crust is also very good. Burnt taste in the crust which some might not like, I recognize it comes with the territory. Cheese is okay, not greasy, nothing memorable. I'd say this is a solid pizza in South Florida. I think a lot of ppl who have high standards for pizza might pass off Anthony's because they are a chain. This pizza is far better than most in the area. I recommend giving it a try with an open mind. I'm going 8.1 Frankie!
