Art's Place

Visiting Sanoma Area and this Italian spot was recommended by a few folks. My expectations were high when I found out they had a wood fire pizza oven. The vibe in the restaurant was good (which helped the score). Photos of “the pasta king,” who I assume is Art, with several Miss California models adorned the walls. He looked like the Hugh Hefner of Sanoma… The pizza was average, slightly below average. I was expecting a crispy thin crust from this hot wood fired oven. It wasn’t. It was extremely floppy and needed to be left in the oven longer. Cheese was good, sauce was a bit tangy and above average, but the undercarriage and crust really disappointed.
