Badamo’s Pizza - Northside

My first time visit to this highly respected Pittsburgh institution. I ordered classic round plain and square pepperoni slices. The round was a very thin NY style slice and easily my favorite. I would rate 8.1. The square was surprisingly heavy, and rather thin for a Sicilian style slice. The sauce seemed much sweeter. I would rate 6.9 for a combined score of 7.5. I’ll be back for the classic round.

For a pizza place that you can go in and grab a slice and have them heat it up for you. I could not believe the freshness that still had with it and the person working was so incredibly nice! I got the Sicilian and two slices of New York style margarita and one with peppers and balsamic with broccoli Rob everything was excellence and I was so impressed with something that is a by the slice when you walk in to get such a high score! I will be back!

$20, toasty bottom, light salty sauce, light cheese, salty parm flavor, cold proof crust, minimal flop

Crust was delicious. Sauce was good but slightly too sweet. Undercarriage was phenomenal. Definite flop. Good sauce to cheese ratio. Would come back but can’t compete with S tier places like Rockaway & Mercurio’s.

WHERE’S THE CHEESE?! Oh my goodness, this thing had potential. Strong pepperonis that held nice grease pools, and solid flavor. A genuinely embarrassing cheese shortage sabotaged what could’ve been a great score. Maybe on a second coming things would be different.

It was perfect the day I went. Great undercarriage, hot, and the crunch you're looking for when you bite it. Great slice.

I thought square was better than the round

Deciding between 7.9 and 8.1 so went with the rookie score. Had exceptionally tasty dough and perfectly cooked crust. I need a sweeter sauce and the cheese wasn’t notable, so not at the level of Lupo, but still a very high quality wheel and one I’d get again when in the burgh.

Just okay. The Sicilian was the better of the two styles. Probably would taste better in a fresh whole pie.

Loved this slice! Good robust sauce, dough is perfect, and cheese was pretty good! One of my favorites in the city! Get here!

Red Sicilian with ricotta. Crust, sauce, and cheese just cascade your tastebuds with flavor. This is a quality pie.

Great spot! I prefer the square to the round, but you can’t go wrong with either. Great sauce!
