Big Mario's Pizza

Pretty good pie, particularly for Seattle where it's hard to find anything close to New York style pizza. I paid seven bucks for a good-sized slice of pepperoni. Nice thin crust. Good char. Good crisp. That was actually pretty amazing. It didn't so much as flop as it kind of broke a little bit because the thin is so crispy. I like that part a lot. The disappointing part was the first bite. Everyone knows the rules. Not a ton of flavor. I found that by the time I got to the end I was getting some sauce and that was really good. Maybe I shouldn't have gotten the pepperoni. I would call it a good slice for Seattle.

Call it a twenty leg parlay cause it did not hit. Sadly the picture does it justice.. Which says a lot.

Crust was thin and crispy, minimal flop. Outside edge was crispy and chewy. Not too greasy. If this was our neighborhood spot, we’d be happy! Wouldn’t travel much for it though so it stays in the 7s

Devoured

Finally made it to the last of the three Big Mario’s locations in Seattle. I am afraid big Mario is a little confused. He has a sign on the outside that reads “Apizza” (which looks like they’re trying to copy Sally’s in New Haven), and then inside on the box it says New York pizza. It is in fact New York style, which is mediocre to begin with, and this is no exception. There’s nothing about this pizza that says New Haven, so Apizza is entirely accurate. I knew this going in, but “we try them all till we try them all”, and “ you’re welcome for the reality check”

Good pizza for Seattle standards , barely any sauce , but good crust and crisp ! Decently priced too , good size slices .

Probably the highest score I’ve given on the app- I typically prefer a thinner crust (the outer shell) but I made an exception for this beautifully crafted Za. The crunch of this crust won me over! The sauce had the perfect amount of tang to get my attention and the cheese to sauce ratio was spot on. I enjoyed the old world style cupped pepperoni with a healthy sprinkle of black olives. I’m the words of the infamous Terminator “I’ll be back”…

The pizza looked good. The crunch was decent. A little floppy, but overall, a good solid New York style pie. Worth a visit if you happen to be in the area.

Ingredients fresh sauce was good and perfect crisp.

Solid pizza, sauce could have more flavor.
