If you’ve ever had pizza from the actual Bronx, New York, you’ll find that this pie is nothing like it. This is super doughy football pizza, somewhat thinnish with massively thick crust. The sauce is disappointingly bland, no kick, no oomph, uneventfully flat and dull. The cheese is boringly generic, as standard as pizza cheese gets. Despite the very solid sauce to cheese ratio, there’s just not enough flavor in either. The dough is firm, yet soft, and not particularly tasty. This pie is lacking in every aspect of flavor, taste and deliciousness. This is just subpar Connecticut pizza using the Bronx style brand to push pedestrian pies. Very disappointing to say the least.

Pres should be ashamed of his audience for rating this place so low. This is one of the top pizza places I’ve been to. Portnoy needs to get out here and set the record straight.

This is Day 1 and stop #2 of my Stamford pizza run for the next couple days. So Bronx House: When I think Bronx style, I think Arthur Avenue, especially Full Moon Pizza.Full Moon has pies and slices that are thin, flat, and big with semolina seeds on the bottom with a medium to thin sauce. This isn’t that. I’m actually no sure which pizzeria this pizza is supposed to be like or that it’s a mixture of Bronx pizza. I also think of Louie and Ernie’s. Maybe Pugsley’s is what they’re going for? Either way…on to business: Crust cracked and tore in a few places. I had to eat it with two hands. It was well done though and fairly crunchy, especially the puffy cornicione. Medium thin not ultra thin crust by NY style standards. Sauce is definitely the pastier kind. Not chunky or loose. Barely there to be honest. Can’t taste oregano either. Mozzarella was greasy and of average quality. Cheese to sauce ratio is way in favor of cheese. I think it’s best to go here for the gourmet slices and speciality pies. Otherwise, this is in the average range of NY style slice.

Bronx house doesn’t make Bronx pizza. Sauce is non existent. Cheese is bland. Crust is pretty good. Only thing that’s good about this place is the spot. Definitely looks like the Bronx. But not the best.

Pretty good slices don't come out as good as the pies because they're not as fresh solid slice.
