Brooklyn's Brick Oven Pizzeria

As a long-time fan of the fantastic sister BBOP operation in Hackensack, I was past due on visiting this one. Ridgewood did not disappoint, delivering nearly identical taste and quality. IMO, the prominent and tasty sauce is key to their success.

Sauce has zero flavor, and crust is extremely doughy. I would rate this pizza maybe a 2.5 but I had to score it lower because there’s no way this place deserves a 7.8. Also waited an hour.

Solid. Looks can be deceiving. This seemed like an easy 8type of pie. Not the case. But it’s good pizza

Excellent char underneath and perfect crust. Although it wasn’t greasy, which was a plus, we would have preferred it a little crispier. Quality ingredients were used however, our biggest complaint was the sauce. It was bright and fresh but literally had NO flavor. Huge potential and our hopes were high. The lack of seasoning in the sauce truly let us down. Overall ok, wouldn’t travel for this pizza. Just meh...

Some of the best brick oven pizza out here. Got the pepperoni this time, but you can never go wrong with the plain.

Legit. No flop. Great ratios. Comes in a bad thoguh which is weird. Cash only. No slices.

Very good pizza. Sort of plays like a junk food fancy pizza combining their superb mozz with a thick chewy crust and limited crisp. Sauce was fairly basic and could stand a tad more pizazz

Classic coal fired. Crust little chewy I prefer a little more crunch to chewy ratio. Sauce has a great bite, thick cut pepperoni and fresh mozzarella is legit.

Great slice of fancy pizza. Got a little margherita action here if that’s your thing. Quality ingredients. Great crust. Big flop. Wouldn’t drive an hour for it though.
