Cafe Capri

Ain’t nothing special, kinda pedestrian in every way. Major flop, greasy carriage, cheese is underwhelming in flavour, texture and quantity. Sauce is probably the most redeeming quality, but honestly this is middle of the mall pizza. I’m surprised Dave reviewed this place when Pizza World which has been an institution in Reading since the early 70’s is right up the street.

Great overall pizza, and great crust the wait is a little long but worth it.

Cheese pie well done. I like it topped with parmesan. Good crisp. A little floppy on the under carriage. The people are awesome. Grab a house dressing to dip the crust.

My wife, Reading High basketball star, class of ‘82. Last time she was here, ‘82. My first time. Pizza is good. I think it sat a bit before I got to it. Little bit of flop. Sauce and cheese good. Another minute or two in the oven and my score goes up. 7.1 from me. I gave her the official score because it’s her old haunt.

Decent flavor kind of heavy thought. A bit greasy. Crust wasn't anything special. This pizza is better than most places in this area. Probably try the thin crust next time.

Great pizza! Crispy crust that hold up well. Great sauce flavor and very light to eat. Was taken back by that bit of it. Will be back here for more!

I grew up eating Capri. Slices went away during the vid but they're back. The reheat took these into well done territory, just where I like it.

Located in a little strip mall across from a Burger King. I got the north end style cheese which is a 14 inch pie. Very, very thin crust. A fair amount of Reading flop. Good crunch on the bottom, very crunch crust. The cheese has some solid browning and there’s Big tomato flavor in the sauce. It is a bit greasy in the center which is the only thing keeping it out of the pantheon, but it’s definitely worth taking a trip out to try.

Went here based solely on the One Bite app. Hidden gem. Great sauce and crust. Slightly greasy, but overall really good.
