Champion Pizza

Bing the 1st stop on my trip I stopped by champion pizza and had their chipotle chicken slice… the under crust was tasty and the chipotle was not overbearing on the other flavors of the slice… I’m giving it an 8 because it was sitting for an unknown amount of time and heated to where it was crispy!!! Solid choice and wanna try other specialty slices

Served NYC Subway, in the dead middle of the summer hot with zero 14th st flop and a hard 5th Ave crisp. First Bite Score: 3.4 The sauce is thin with no tang and good seasoning. The mozzarella is high quality with decent chew and salinity. The dough recipe is totally old school. It is razor thin with excellent chew and a good charred undercarriage. SUB SCORE: 6.4 SAUCE: very thin and flavorful. It caught me by surprise on the first bite because I wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. MOZZARELLA: very nice. Just the right amount of cheese in this well balanced ratio. DOUGH: when other doughs go to sleep at night they dream of growing up to be this dough. One of the best in my 100+ reviews. It’s up there with the big dogz! Summary: my first bite was like someone dropped a salt cube in the middle of the pie then sliced it and then served it. I was overwhelmed by the amount of pure salt. But as I worked my way through the slice it became better with each bite. Without the salt bomb I would give this slice a 8.4 easy. It is one of the most balanced ratios and well executed pies I’ve had to date. But with the salt bomb I give it a Final Score…

Drunk pizza

Lacking taste. Barely any sauce and cheese. Failed flop test.

Margarita slice is my favorite. Every slice is solid. Really enjoy their white slice, chicken parm slice and eggplant parm slice as well. Even the vodka slice too. Never disappointed. The regular slice is hit or miss. But when it’s a hit it’s really good too.

This is the definition of average the sauce had no flavor. Cheese average at best. Good crunch but dough lacked something

Pretty disappointing pizza. The cheese sticks to the plates and a bunch of grease came off during the flop test. Only good part was the crust which was nice and crispy. Other than that, I was hoping it’d be better. Sorry, won’t be back here again.

uge ny flop. Cheese was decent but the pizza a little on the doughy side. Slight crisp. Sauce had no flavor couldn’t even tell if it had any. Overall 6.6 . Nothing that crazy.

Pretty good. Sauce tastes great and solid crunch. Doors wide open and can people watch as you eat.
