Charles & Reid Detroit Pizza

Wow. One of the best Detroit style pizzas that I’ve ever tried. Very light for its thickness as it should be. Better cheese blend than most Michigan pies that I’ve tried. Great flavor. Good crisp. Nice sauce. Had the Pint n Slice special for $7 and was blown away. Stopping by tomorrow when they open to grab a few pizzas to take home.

If you love Detroit style this is a must try. Shoot if you love pizza this is a must try. The charred crust is unbelievable along with a nice crunchy undercarriage. The pizza has a nice balance of sauce and cheese. You can tell the ingredients are fresh with tons of flavor. They have several great options to pick from and the staff is always super friendly. Brownie points for having bubble hockey also!

Best Detroit style I've had in a very long time, just not my fav style of pie.

Detroit style. Left tackle, looks large but light on his feet. This was more like an athletic looking center that is light on his feet. Delicious, light and crispy crust. Sauce was a little sweet for my tastes. Could have used a little more cheese to balance the ratio to sauce and crust. Nevertheless a fantastic pizza. Friendly staff. Took thirty minutes to bake, can tell high quality ingredients. 7.7, a very solid score on the Detroit style scale.

Got the heatwave margherita with heat on the side. Option for extra sauce (tsunami) which I didn’t do. Crisp, crunch, and char. A bit too greasy. Full after 2 small slices.

The reviews are spot on. It’s definitely a place worth checking out if you’re in town and you love a good Detroit style pizza. 7.8 that’s my review.

Decent Detroit pizza. I’ll say this, it’s better than the last few times I went to Buddy’s in SE Michigan. Could use more cheese like other reviews said. Overall a great Detroit style pie in TC.

Fantastic cook/crust, great ingredients, happy tummy

Super good Detroit style deep dish! Plenty of cheese with a great tangy sauce. Fresh toppings and favorite part is the crispy edge.

Detroit style in northern Michigan. Crust and crispy cheese edge are great. Sauce is very good, but could use a little more. Toppings were a bit scarce. Biggest issue is not enough cheese. Too much bread vs cheese.

Great Crispy crust that is really light and awesome. Toppings solid, staff cool, pride flag out front cost them points. Small dining area with beer and wine is solid. Recommend a try!

Small Cheese Pie $17.99. This is 3rd pizza review on this great wedding weekend getaway! After a 40 minute wait on this pizza I’m honestly not that impressed. It’s 90% dough and 7% sauce. It’s good…. But not 30 min drive good. The place was busy! Locals absolutely swear on it. I’m not dying to come back anytime soon.

Solid slice. Light crust with a good crunch. Fresh ingredients and awesome sauce. Definitely worth a try in downtown TC!
