A family owned pizzeria & ice cream shop, this is a one stop spot for dinner & dessert. While I didn’t get to try the ice cream, the pizza is a very standard, regular, traditional football pie. Big, doughy & soft, lacking crisp despite a firm undercarriage with mild char & minimal crunch. The dough is tasty enough but nothing special, to go along with a rather bland-tasting, fluffy & pillowy crust. A decently melty shredded mozzarella blend, the cheese has a somewhat generic taste but a delightfully creamy, lava-like flow…a slightly better texture than flavor. Chunky & hearty, the sauce is actually deliciously sweet; however, it lacks depth beyond the sweetness, missing some spice & pizzazz to give the sauce a little kick. I didn’t have high expectations going into this review; however, this is very passable pizza, not nearly as bad as I had anticipated. The sweetness of the sauce & terrific consistency of the cheese make up for the lackluster dough. Overall, this is a nice little family & kid’s oriented spot for a classic combo of pizza & ice cream; fine if you’re in the area but not worthy of long distance travel.
