📍 Danny's Pizzeria — Midwood, Brooklyn (Ave M & E 17th)
Score: 7.0 🍕
Review number two. John and Autz, back at it, this time deep in Brooklyn at Danny's on Avenue M. Cameras rolling, mouths full. Let's eat.
The pie: there's something unmistakably New York about this one. I (John) swear I could taste the water — that classic NYC tap-water flavor baked right into the dough, or maybe the sauce. You New Yorkers know exactly what I mean. It's the kind of thing you can't fake outside the five boroughs.
So where'd we land? John: 7.1, riding that hometown water flavor. Autz: 6.9, held back by the flop. Average it out and Danny's takes a 7.0 — a solid, honest slice kept from greatness by one floppy fold and a pre-sliced pizza.
VERDICT: 7.0. Real New York character. Give it some backbone and a kiss of char and now we're talking.
