Delmar Pizzeria

Alright the great Delmar Pizza. Been around since 1957. Any place that has been around that long is alright by me. Light and crispy slice we got here, cooked perfectly. This is the type of slice that the culinary assholes on the other side of Brooklyn try to do. But ya know what that taste like to me? A fucking iPhone. Because those slices look their best when some big glasses nerd is eating it on Instagram. This here Delmar is the real fucking deal. They ain’t putting no ricotta on it. No very simple pie. This is the type of pizza that generations say it’s the best aroundddd. This isn’t influencer pizza. This is “I grew up in Sheepshead fucking Bay and I go to Delmar Pizza. It’s the best pizza in the world” type of pizza. It’s Super Bowl Pizza, it’s Wrestlemania Pizza, it’s Great Compromise Pizza. It’s all the above. Just when ya go over there make sure you don’t take too many napkins and bring someone with ya because you are gonna need to double park, and also Russians love traffic so make sure you drive aggressively.

Cheese slice and grandma slice are equally enjoyable. A little greasy but good cheese and flavor.

PHENOMENAL SLICE. This place deserves a line out the door. Perfect cheese to sauce ratio, amazing tasting marinara, no complaints! Must try place! I’ve tried Dave’s highest rating 9.4 Di Fara pizza literally 20 min ago and ran back to this place. 100% recommend!

It’s a hometown favorite, this was my first time back in 20 years and it brought me back to nostalgia town. If Dave was to ask me what my favirite pizzeria was I’d say Delmars.

The regular slice is a basic good slice. Nothing wrong with it, not too sweet, decent crisp. but also nothing amazing about it. Classic NY slice, I'm for it. The vodka slice I got is a 6.3 you barely taste the vodka on this one

Decent slice. Very greasy. Nice crisp on the slice. Ordered 2 pies around lunch time and it was a delivery. Maybe what they sell in the store is better. Very salty slice. Sauce and cheese are ok but don't stand out. Make sure to have plenty of water after having this slice.

Square slice I give a 7.8 Regular slice I give a 7.1 So overall this is a 7.5 not bad pizza at all, just super greasy but still very good.

Best pepperoni slice in south brooklyn hands down. Could do with a tiny bit less grease, perfect otherwise.

Been a big fan of their Sicilian w/pepperoni Very Well done. Good balance, slight tang, light and airy, tasty, doesn't need additional seasoning Round is your Go To

Neighborhood Classic

Since I now live in New Jersey, anytime I am in Sheepshead Bay, I have to make my way to Delmar for one of the best slices in NYC. The slice has zero flop and is extra crispy. It had a little more grease than I remembered but it didn’t matter because the slice is that good. I was surprised over the $3 price for the slice but I guess that’s because the area has high rents. I would have eaten a few more slices but I am going across the street to Wheelers and I am looking forward to eating some Steak Tidbits.

Good slice, heavy on the cheese which means more grease but good sauce.
