Some great pie

Pizza was good but a little doughy and not flavorful. I had to eat it fast because as it cooled down it just became dry. I guess I expected more because of the high score from Dave. Overall, compared to other pies it’s good, but not outstanding…

Awesome pie, definitely lives up to the hype. Cheese and sauce are delicious and crust has no flop.

Definately a no flop pizza. We drove 3.5 hours to try the pizza.

Very fresh, crispy, good taste. Friendly staff. Pay attention to the store hours before going. My wait wasn't that long.

It's Delucia's......... my family has been going there for 4 generations. My great great grandmother used to go there to buy bread when it was a bakery. I've been eating pizza there since I was three years old. At first I was a little pissed at Mr. Portnoy for giving it the top score because all these barstool sports people are coming in and invading this pizza place which nobody knew about but at the end of the day, I'm happy for Christian and happy for DeLucia getting the recognition that it's so much deserves. Dave try the calzone next time.

Very over rated, thought it was going to be the holy grail. Still a solid slice. Would prefer almost every place in New Haven.

Cooked to perfection . Probably the best I have ever had !

The absolute best pizza I’ve ever had. Crust was crunchy in every bite, sauce tasted great, cheese was perfectly baked on, and the crust (as said time and time again) had ZERO flop. One bite even had a negative flop, as in the pizza was curving up. Wait was a little long and ordering was fairly strange, but all in all totally worth it.

Another overrated Dave review. Place is very popular, and good for them! But I was with two others and we all found it to be bland, overcooked, and just mediocre. Dave’s taste definitely favors overcooked (dry), and light on flavor. Which is fine, it’s just not my taste in pizza. Wouldn’t return but they are not hurtin’ for business.

Wow!!! Well worth the drive and wait! It’s hard to get through to call ahead but when you get here you’ll see why! Solid pie

Good but as good as I thought it would be

Good pizza. Not the greatest pizza I’ve ever had. Slightly overrated for what Dave gave it. NEGATIVE flop. Pretty cheesy. Decent tang. Wouldn’t drive over 30-40 mins for though.

Best pizza I’ve ever had. Atmosphere is incredible. Service and people were so kind and amazing. Can’t say enough

- Great undercarriage and crunch - High quality sauce, cheese, and dough - Crust dense and not airy - Good char from oven - Cheese and sauce melt together perfectly, but a mild flavor

Forgot to take a pic of the pie. This was the best pizza I’ve ever had, and it will always be a 10/10 until I find a better pizza. Then, it’ll be a 9/9. Barely any flop, perfect sauce to cheese ratio, and a crunch with every bite! Worth the 1 and a half hour wait.
