Di Fara Pizza

Never been to the original but this was a good place. Crispy crust great sauce, cheese was ok. The pepperoni was terrible but can’t dock points for that m.

No, it’s not as good as the original Di Fara. But it’s pretty damn good.

Not as good as Midwood but still pretty good overall.

The square was pretty tasty but the regular is nothing like the OG. Fresh mozz?! Still good pizza but there’s tons better in the city.

Very disappointed. Sauce is great with a lot of flavor. Dough is soft and weird. Definitely does not live up to the hype plenty of better local spots.

Such a far cry from what used to be a top tier slice in the city. Terrible crust, painfully in unique sauce. Pity. 5.2

Honestly just pretty meh, not bad, not great

Solid slice in terms of New York standards. But if you’re trying to compare it to DiFaras in Brooklyn it’s way off. Not the same touch obviously since the legend passed but also the pizza here doesn’t as much turnover so it has to be reheated compared to Brooklyn. Great texture, pizza needed to be reheated more and I think I’d like more zip to the sauce.

As a 3rd generation son of Brooklyn, DiFara in Midwood was always Aces. A true 9.5 in my book. This location should not share the same name. Maybe they share the same sauce and cheese. But there’s no love in this slice. No crisp, hardly any flavor in the dough. Something is way off here. Perhaps it’s the crew slinging the pies. Do yourself a favor, and hop on the Q train. Get off at the Ave J stop.

Crust was good, sauce was good. Everything else was undewhelming
