Donatos Pizza

This might be the most expensive chain pizza I’ve had. A 14 inch one topping pizza at $20 has a lot to live up to but this one sadly did not. I’ve had Donatos many times at work parties but it’s always been the thin crust pizza cut into squares and I’ve never enjoyed it (but still ate a lot of it because it’s pizza). I decided to try the hand-tossed option and it is better but still painfully average. The crust had the consistency of a frozen pizza, the sauce was pretty sweet, the cheese had an interesting smoky flavor to it, but there wasn’t enough of it, and the pepperoni was…fine, I guess. Not much to say about it. It’s as middle of the road as you can get so this gets a 5.0 but deducting a point because of how expensive it was and how hungry I still found myself after eating the whole thing. Not worth it at all.

Small pizza. I didn’t ask it to be cut this way. Didn’t matter to me either way. It was like 11$ with this and a water and soda. THE GOOD Pizza was over cooked a little giving it that crunch I love. Pepperoni having a rich seasoned flavor. THE BAD I don’t like flatbread pizza and not enough sauce or cheese to really discuss. What I can say is the sauce seemed a tad flavorless and the cheese was good but not enough for my liking.
