Light. Good crunch. A bit greasy. Taste is pretty straight forward. Crust was the best part of this pizza imo. Place seems like good people. Solid pizza

I had the margherita pizza. The char on the crust was good and definitely on the well-done side. The cheese was solid in the spots it had it, since it was a margherita, and the cheese isn’t evenly spread as it shouldn’t be. The best part of the pizza for me was the sauce. It’s a really tangy tomato-forward sauce, which I love. If you like tangy pizza sauce you would like this pizza. If you don’t, then it’s not your slice. Overall, a good pizza, and I would come back if I’m ever on this side of NC.

Judged it on cheese pizza - counting toppings is cheating! Their specialty pizzas are good - but let’s be honest about the basic pizza yall. The pizza is lacking - the sauce has little flavor other than salt. Very salty, which isn’t bad but… was looking for maybe a garlic/tomato flavor. The dough is good, they toss their dough in cornmeal which added a nice texture and I’m sure creates a cleaner environment in their kitchen. Super thin pizza, not very fluffy, more dense than a typical dough. Still, I ate a second piece. It’s a good pizza, but it won’t blow your mind.

Hard to believe this pizza doesn’t come from a 100 year old Italian recipe. These guys know what they are doing. So much perfection on a crust that is light and crispy. Could eat an entire pie myself. Pizza’s pictured are the smalls.

Awesome pizza. This is the Black Balsam. Super flavorful. A lot going on with it. Had this and a pepperoni pizza. Perfect crust.
