Good pizza not to bad for a afternoon snack

Old school bar restaurant. Their specialty is a 10 inch bar pie but serve up bigger pizzas as well. It’s a good pie. Crust is more like a tortilla so it has a bit of a softness to it. Specialty pies were good also. I saw on the menu they have the term “bar pie” trademarked which got me looking into the story. Apparently they have this pizza style trademarked so competition cannot advertise “bar pie” on a menu. Can’t say I agree with the validity of the trademark on a style of pizza but I’m just a reviewer not a pizza lawyer.

Special Long Island review for number 200. Super light and crisp. Delicious clean tasting sauce. Cheese is fine. Not overly flavorful, but very good. I could eat it all day.

This place was recommended by a friend. They were here since the 30's and a very popular local restaurant and bar. 1. I was happy to see they had a personal bar pie. It had that cracker like dough which I would like if I'm drinking liquor but its not my go to type pizza. I see now, their big pie might have been different? 2. They said on the menu that all their items have part skim cheese with ricotta mixed in. Not quite sure if that included this pie but it wasn't anything special. 3. Sauce was a very thin, blended consistency. It was good but could have used a bit more kick to it.

The pizza is pretty good but it’s nothing special. There are better bar pie’s out there.

Ok… first of all, I didn’t realize I’ve never actually had a bar pie before. I accidentally went here today because I was in the area so I looked on the app, so his review - and almost didn’t come because of the score he gave.. but I wanted to try bar pie. I am SO glad I did. This place is right up my alley. If I ever open a pizza joint, it will be just like this. Atmosphere: amazing. Employees: amazing. Customers: amazing locals, ay oh!! I made 2 new friends eating there today. The beers were going down, the jokes were flowing. A fine time was had by all. And of course…. The Pizza: amazing!! Ay oh, I’ll be back!! Loved it! side-note: Dave scored the wrong pie, hence the lower score. He got the big regular. The small bar pie was amazing… someones gotta tell him this place needs a do-over…

Loved this pizza.. was in the area and had to try. My style so I’m higher on the score, but very thin easy bar pie. Also great bar to have a drink. Highly recommend

Average slice. Thin crust is good but this one is overkill. The cheese isn’t bad but the sauce is unnoticeable. Don’t hate it but it’s definitely not a killer pie.

Good slice, cracker crust, minimal grease, cheese is okay not too much flavor, sauce is alright. Overall good slice but not too flavorful.

I used to live in CT so my bar pie standards are high! This is good but not great as Dave said. Sauce is a bit too sweet for my taste, cheese is nice taste and burn. Def no flop on this. Thin and crispy but has a little chew and pull still. Most likely one of the only spots in that area rocking old school bar pie style so if that’s your thing send it. One bite on one slice everyone knows the rules. The vibe in there is an actual bar, dark lighting, autographed photos, the whole 9. Support this place it’s an institution. That’s a review.

Solid thin crust bar pie.

Bar Pizza!!! This is pizza basically on a cracker. Super thin crust, minimal sauce and cheese, but it all hits the spot together. We got the 10 inch, but they have 14 inch pies as well. The definition of one bite here. Enjoy!!

If you like thin crust, these guys gotta grab an 8 handle. Super thin, cracker crust, bar pie. Also best mozzarella sticks known to man. I challenge you to find better

Paper Thin! Was the thinnest of the thin for what concerns bar pie. I liked it, but thought it was missing something. Was a bit bland in flavor. Overall, decent bar pie!!

For the last fifteen years, Eddie’s has been my personal favorite, hands down; paper thin, crispy crust with fresh mozzarella and authentic homemade sauce. Whether you’re dining in or taking a pie to an Islanders tailgate, Eddie’s unquestionably lands in the upper echelon of pizzerias in the northeast.

Pres must've gotten a much better pie than me. Maybe its because of covid?
