Alright so unfortunately Franco’s was closed down for a few months in the summer/early fall...but cruising by today I noticed they were back open and was pumped to grab a slice. I’m legitimately running out of places to try in certain areas of Philly. In terms of the slice...looks wise... perfect. A big slice for just under $3 and when I pick up a slice, I always hope it looks like this. Thin, good balance with the cheese and sauce... and the taste delivered. A good bite to the cheese and the sauce complimented well. Minimal grease...Plenty of crisp and the crust had some flavor too it as well. I’m right on that fence between high 7’s and low 8’s...and even though it’s a bit higher than the community, I feel like the average needs to be pulled up a bit. Maybe I got a great slice...or maybe they’re doing things different now after the renovations...if you’re in the area, it’s worth the trip.
