It’s hard to compare this pizza to the New Haven version. I had Sally’s pretty recently and this straight up doesn’t compare. However, by no means is this a bad pie. My first slice had minimal flop and the tomato sauce is on point. The salad is something to come back for alone but overall I found the mozzarella pie slightly unseasoned. Strong score against stronger competition.

Got bubbles?? That’s about all I can say for this pie is that the burnt bubbles were very good. I am usually skeptical about chain mall pizza, but saw DAVE rated it 9.4 (must have been drunk or during his amateur days), so why not. Totally fail, as this tasted very rubbery, cold in minutes and one step behind a dominoes pie. Pass on Pepe!!

Northeast pie that was rushed

OK. nOt even close to Pepe’s of New Haven. Coal fired yes. But there is something totally wrong with this pizza. You can tell the crust doesn’t even look close to a true coal fired pizza. Very mediocre. Davey was smoking the day of his review.

Frank Pepe’s! Not to be confused with the original Frank Pepe’s in New Haven, CT PIZZA CAPITAL OF THE WORLD! That clarified…this pizza was absolutely spectacular. Just take a look at that photo….nah for real, take a look! It’s a thing of beauty! The char, the sauce the cheese…all top notch. The crisp is exactly what I look for in a pizza. There’s plenty of sauce and it has the perfect amount of spice and flavor to it. The flavor of the cheese is fantastic, there’s just a tad too much of it for me. This pie is up there with the best of them! Frank Pepe’s never disappoints! If pizza is calling, and you’re within a 30 minute drive….go here for sure!

Crust was amazing! Cheese was strange. Sauce and pepperoni were both fantastic.

Honestly, what they got right is the dough. The cheese and sauce aren’t bringing anything to the parlor. I’m not mad at this pizza, but its definitely not anything to write home about. Just tastes normal.

this one was really good. i was excited to try based off dave’s review and it did not disappoint. the crust itself should receive the Michelin star… this is nonnegotiable fact. my only complaint? a tad greasy. This small blip, however, can be overlooked when considering the pies amazing flavor and perfect crisp. good job frank👏
