Franks is a topping place, straight cheese is not the way here

They cut the pizza like crazy people -which I love. 8.8 because the flop was inconsistent, some were nice and crispy though. We got the meatball ricotta and it was delish. And the sauce was the right amount of tangy. Way better pizza here than from back in MD.

Frank pepes is the king of New Haven Pizza. Cheesy and saucy goodness. I’ve tried it from a couple of their locations, first time at the original, and it doesn’t disappoint!

Very fresh and quick service. You could tell just by the taste that it’s very high quality.

That sweet tang. Cheese to sauce ration on point. Crispy and flakey crust. It’s just build different. Bussin!

The best pizza I have ever had. Sauce alone is a 9.5. Flavor, crisp, cheese sauce ration. Perfection

Nice pie. The sauce has a nice glide to it and the cheese was good. Very good pizza

Clearly one of the most delicious pies ever created. This is the “original” tomato pies which is sauce and a sprinkling of parmigiana cheese. The crust is medium thin, but has a beautiful chew and char. The sauce is flavored just perfectly with what I assume a touch of sugar which relieves the acidity associated with pizza sauce. The cheese salts it perfectly. One of the most balanced pies out there. You must try the house salad which is also a winner.

Got the white clam and the della carne. Wanted cheese but just had that and was disappointed at Sally’s so needed to assure we got something good w toppings. Clam wasn’t so good, carne was really good. Averages out to an 8.0, and the pizza was markedly better than Sally’s without question. Still, not even close to good San Francisco pizza
