pizzachicago
Although Giordano's fairs toward the bottom of my list of famous Chicago chains, I'm not going to take that away from them. It is a damn good pizza, just not my preference. The thing with Giordano's is it's a cheese lovers dream. Two thin crusts; a top and bottom and "stuffed" with cheese. I'm a sauce guy. I'm not going to get into the debate of traditional deep dish versus stuffed, but obviously I side with deep dish due to the sauce. Enough about that. I do like that Giordano's is a flour based airy crust. Again, stuffed with cheese cheese cheese. The cheese isn't particularly interesting by any means. I wish it was seasoned or something since the crust blocks the little sauce they have from cooking into the cheese. If you like toppings, I recommend ordering them with this pizza to add those extra natural flavorings (I recommend pepperoni and sausage, or spinach). They've been doing this for a while and make a consistent pizza. If you're new to Chicago or visiting, you're obligated to eat Giordano's. Taste a famous Chicago classic. If you've been around the block a few times like myself, be a little more adventurous.
