Okay the great Grimaldi’s. What am I gonna say? They’ve been in the game for a long time. They practically invented pizza. Is it worth a trip? I think it is. Are you gonna walk away saying “that’s the best pizza in the world” some might. But if you are a fussy fuck like me and the Architect then you would say “not so fucking fast”
good solid brick oven pizza. Above average. But nowhere near the greats like Difara, Totonos, Luigi’s. That’s the gold standard for Brooklyn Pizza. But Grimaldi’s knows that, and they probably don’t give a fuck about that. They know who they are.
Now here is my only real complaint. The sauce. Could they put a little more sauce on the thing? I know it’s like a big secret sauce type of deal. But stop being so stingy. Throw a little more on there.
This all being said Grimaldi’s is really good brick oven pie. If ya love Brick Oven Pizza than head over there. But if ya thinking you are getting a top 10 pie, you’ll be walking away slightly disappointed.
