$7 sourdough Detroit style on Thursday! The dough has a delicious unique sourdough flavor, matched with Hops & Pie’s beer selection it’s such a win.

Good but go to blue pan

Good pizza. Went for the pan/Detroit style on this one, but the edge was left completely dried out, lacking any oil, and with more of a cracker taste than deep fried grease. Not sure if this was intentional or not but took away some from the pie. Pepperonis were top notch for Denver, where it is rare to get collagen-cased/cupping pepperonis. You could also choose “extra wide” pepperoni, but the thick were of course the best for a deep Detroit-style slice. Sourdough crust was lite and fluffy, no arguments there. Sauce/cheese both good, though the sauce was a bit basic and could have maybe used a bit more spice from some seasonings mixed in. All ingredients fresh tasting. Interested to try the NY style next time!

Detroit style. Sauce had great flavor. Sausage, pepperoni, mushroom, fresh basil is one of the most classic flavor combinations for me. Crumb had some density to it with nice small air pockets throughout. Bottom and edges had nice crunch so a solid fry on the dough. Dough was somewhat flavorless and the cheese blend lacked some of flavor as well although the sauce was a little heavy and pulled attention away from the cheese. Overall a pretty solid pie.

Almost as good as blue pan, but blue pans crust is a little fluffier which gives it an edge. Got a normal cheese and a vegan one because I'm fucking weird okay? The vegan one is def the best I've had in Denver so far. The cheese is a 7.3, needs more sauce just like all Detroit style 'zas

Great slice, this is a very fair score. Could be less chewy and more flavorful on the crust. However, the sauce and cheese are fantastic... great flavor, a little spice too

Beer Brisket pizza very good. Little too much flop on the pizza. Carmelized onions are a very good addition. If near by would recommend.
