Pizza Review
I’m not sure what nationality the guys making the pizza here are, but they’re definitely not Italian, despite being advertised as “authentic Italian pizza.” The pies are traditional Italian style; however, the ingredients have a specific taste similar to other non-Italian pizzas I’ve had. The dough is thinnish and firm, not a standard taste, just a little different. The sauce is also slightly confusing; it’s up & down, sweet & tangy, dark red & hearty, a weird flavor that kind of grows on you. The cheese is definitely above average with a sauce to cheese ratio that just barely favors the sauce, which I don’t mind. As you get to the wonderfully crispy crust, it has a tremendous crunch and texture that leaves you with a delightful exit taste. For a pizza that’s starts off somewhat shaky and hard to pinpoint, it actually gets better with each bite and ends surprisingly well. I could see the ratings being torn between hi 6s and low 7s. I enjoyed it more than I thought I was going to and didn’t mind the unique flavors.
