Imo's Pizza

In St. Louis, so it felt necessary to visit one of Imo’s locations with their paper-thin, cracker-like crust and Provel cheese. About what I expected. Taste-wise it almost resembles Elio’s frozen pizza.

First time visiting St Louis and I had to try the infamous St. Louis-style pizza. And when you say St. Louis-style pizza, Imo’s always comes up. St. Louis-style pizza is a thin crust pizza with pizza sauce (poor quality) and Provel cheese. Provel is a combination of cheddar, Swiss and provolone cheeses. Bottom line tastes like a thin crust “Elios frozen pizza”. Not a fan.

Was pleasantly surprised by my first St. Louis style pie. Nice thin, crackery crust. Good sauce and unique cheese, but I still prefer NY style.
