INItaly Pizzeria&Bar

This is some of the best pizza I have ever eaten. As a guy who leans towards Neapolitan pies, the ones offered here are great. The dough is perfectly prepared, resulting in a slightly chewy, yet soft crust with a bit of char that warms you from the inside out. I have dined here many times and the pizza is consistently excellent. My personal favorite is the INItaly (pictured here) which manages to pack a wide variety of subtle flavors that all complement each other well: homemade mozzarella, mortadella, stracciatella, pistachio grains, pistachio pesto, parmesan flakes, extra virgin olive oil and fresh basil. All ingredients are extremely fresh and of high quality. In my experience, many pizzerias make their own dough in house. Few produce their own mozzarella! I have to mention the aesthetics of this restaurant. While there are plenty of great pizza joints that are just a hole in the wall, this one is beautiful. Located two doors down from the main intersection through downtown Pendleton, the indoor seating area boasts a high ceiling with full-height windows, an extremely neat and clean layout with the beautiful oven visible in back, just in front of the kitchen. The whole ambiance of this restaurant puts you in the mood for a fine meal. Great for both an intimate date or a large group.
