With the customers and Portnoy giving it equally an 8.1, I JD to check it out. It falls short of the 8 in my eyes, but it’s a really good quality traditional slice. Good crust, zero flop, good undercarriage...a little on the heavy side. Sauce was decent, not spectacular or overly memorable. It’s something I’d have every single day and never get sick of but not anything I’d drive out of the way for. I feel wrong disagreeing with the master, but it is what is. For Me it was very good, not great.

Regular was 7.8 and Sicilian 8.3, so 8.1 overall. When the door opens, you get cold at the first table Good vibes though

Joe’s Sicilian slice is hard to beat. Light, fluffy, crispy crust. Cheese marries the tangy sauce. It also travels well. I got 4 Sicilian slices to go after eating 3 Sicilian slices. Joe’s is a special place to eat

Served Gal Gadot hot in 1-2 minutes with a hard Gramatan Ave crisp and a tiny Broad St. flop. First Bite Score: 6.4 The sauce is very simple and old school. It is seasoned well and is very light but it lacks salinity. The mozzarella is pretty good, but not great, with average salinity and chew. The dough is very nice with a solid undercarriage and almost perfect char. The flavor is nice but also under salted. Sub Score: 7.1 SAUCE: add a pinch more salt and this could touch the low 8.0’s MOZZARELLA: with a higher quality and better placement this would really make the score jump DOUGH: perfectly thin and crispy undercarriage and soft fluffy center of the crust but needs a pinch more salt. Summary: the oven here is made of magic and fairy dust. In just one short minute it shot out a perfectly crisp 451° slice with very little flop or oil buildup. The only thing missing from this slice is salt. Add that then this rework would have landed in the low 8.0’s. Final Score…

Good, solid slice; thin and light for a “football-type” pie, and the mozzarella was fresh. Also love the big, framed 2006 Italia World Cup Championship picture, as well as everyone in the pizzeria speaking Italian. The only minor knock is that the sauce distribution was slightly inconsistent. Other than that, a great overall pie.

The boys took a road trip from NJ up here. Great crisp, almost like a flat bread. No huge complaints here. all around great slice.

Solid Slice. Top 2 in Fleetwood. No flop, hot, fast, sauce is out of this world

Combined father/daughter score: 6.7 and 7.7... this is a straight forward, good slice

Definitely as good as Sals. Very different and unique for a Sicilian. Super light and airy and great tasting. Should get more recognition.

Plain slice has good flop but crispy at the same time. Great atmosphere with classic New York hospitality. Pizza was a very fair price and service was great
