Great flavor of the cheese ,good undercarriage but could have been a little crispier for my liking. the sauce tasted great but could have had more on the pie

Review #52 Crossed off another long time bucket list ☑️ place in NY West Village.. Love the old school no frills vibe and the wooden booths.. I think this is a classic example of the whole being greater than the sum of its parts… There is nothing flashy about this pizza but it is so damn good.. I’d say this is the closest to the tomato sauce I had jn Italy in terms of simplicity but delicious taste.. it wasn’t littered with basil like a lot of other places do to juice it up.. the thin crust and char was up there with the best I’ve had.. But the cheese is what stands out to me here.. the milky and creaminess of it is just next level. It’s very light - I could have eaten the 14” 6 cut to myself no problem. DRILL IT Jack

Excellent za. Thin and well done with good charred crust and little flop. Sauce has a strong tomato flavor. Only thing missing is a little more flair in the cheese blend. This is definitely my kind of pizza

“I’m going to the Mecca” is an all too common phrase for out of towners going to a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden. Which is a fair statement for such a legendary venue. However, the 2nd Mecca in NYC is John’s of Blecker, which lives to and exceeds all expectations. This is a legendary pie and for good reason. The flop is non existent and the char is beautiful. Toppings were fresh and the ambiance can’t be beat. Best pie these taste buds have ever encountered and cannot recommend John’s enough. Must stop when visiting the most iconic city our great country has to offer.

Might come as a bit of a surprise, but this is not my type of pizza. It’s thin, but not crunchy. The cheese was the best part of this pizza. The sauce was very sweet, too sweet imo. Similar to DeLorenzo’s in Robinsville and Pepe’s; I think it fell right in between both of those spots, which is why I gave it an 8.4. Second best I’ve had in NYC so far behind Lazarra’s in midtown

Great pizza. Great char on the crust, excellent sauce, awesome stringy mozzarella. Ordered John’s Original (tomato sauce and mozzarella), and a pizza Margherita. Would not give the edge to either one. Both excellent. Really awesome place inside too.
